Rooftek branding and website design in Reading

Brand identity and a new responsive website

Reading-based flat roofing specialists ‘Rooftek Advance’ asked us to create a new brand identity for their business, and to design and build a new corporate website

Using strong primary colours, our new logo treatment is contemporary and conveys professionalism. The word ‘Rooftek’ instantly stands out, set in clear, bold lettering over a panel in which ‘Advance’ is set in an elegant, contrasting font.

Functioning as a partial frame, and providing a reference to Rooftek’s specialist expertise in single-ply flat roofing, a light grey rule with either end turned downwards sits at the top of the logo.

So that the logo can be reproduced effectively on any background, we created a range of mono and colour variations.

The new website was designed using the same palette of primary colours in the logo. Built on a responsive Joomla CMS template, the site is entirely mobile-friendly, adapting automatically to different browsers and devices to deliver a consistent user experience. The site sets out the company’s services and includes case studies of both domestic and commercial projects. Rooftek’s latest testimonials are displayed prominently on the ‘Home page’, with all current and past testimonials viewable on a drop-down page under ‘About Us’.

Quotation enquiry forms were design to be simple to understand and fill out, with helpful illustrations to show different styles of roofs and guttering. Completed forms provide Rooftek with all the information they need to assess a project and get back to the customer with an estimated price.

Wicko Design worked with copywriter Mike Northover who drafted original content for all main areas of the site, as well as several case studies which were added to an updatable blog area.

Website hosting, email setup and domain name redirection was all managed by Wicko Design. A sitemap was produced for the new site and published to the main search engines. Google Analytics and Webmaster Tools were set up to monitor the website’s performance.

Stationery was also produced using the new brand logo and a digital letterhead template to make creating new documents easy.

Staff workwear was sourced and supplied with the Rooftek brand logo embroidered in position.

Graphics displaying the new brand logo, key services and contact details were designed for Rooftek’s fleet of flatbed and Transit vans.

“It is always great to work on a branding project – beginning with an initial concept, and going on to apply it across diverse media including stationery, clothing, vehicles and website.”
