The site displays an excellent gallery of Powerboats and Cruises in use while in training along with videos from their YouTube account.

Customers have the option to sign up to receive a regular newsletter Which is totally managed within the site. The newsletter manager collects user subscriptions within a mailing list and allows you to create your own email template with links directly back to pages and content within the site.

MyPTstudio website grows

MyPTstudio are a new personal training studio based in Croydon. The studio opened in mid 2012 in the heart of Croydon town center. The logo and brand was create by Wicko Design and was used on a number of different media including, leaflets, ads, shop front signs, sports equipment and website.

Using the latest Joomla CMS system, enabled the website to expand as the business developed. The website has pages for all their main services and team details along with a news blogging section and Twitter feed. The site enabled the team at MyPTstudio to edit and change pages and create regular news articles. As the business developed new sections were created to link in the latest services and products available such as Herbalife and JuicePLUS+. Forms allow customers to contact MyPTstudio with about training or health products, asking relevant questions with check box options. This helps MyPTstudio collate client information and advice them on the best training methods or health products to acheive their goals.

Future development for the website will be added as the business grows. These will include, online store, course and booking facility and client account and networking. The online shopping facility will sell health products and equipment directly from thier site. Booking section will allow MyPTstudio to set dates and times for course where customers can book and pay online. Account and networking will allow customers to have their own profiles on the site with details and acheivement and will also allow them to share and communicate with other members.

Moving existing site to a more flexible platform
With their initial site built on Shopify, which Mystic Games found difficult to adapt and offer all the features they wanted. Wicko Design moved the site to a WordPress platform with WooCommerce commerce system with built in events management.

Event calendar
The events calendar enabled Mystic Games to offer regular games events held throughout each week. Easily adding new dates with ticket and subscription options. These have been incredibly popular on the site.

Popular bands
With many popular brands available on the site the user is able to view all products by brand. By generating individual brand pages there were able to create additional landing pages within the site to attract search engines.

Filters and Search
Dynamic filtering options are available on all product category pages allowing the user to filter the results to find the products they are looking for. A large search field in the header enables the user to search for with predictive search results as the user enters their query. A product of initial search results displays the product image, title and price with an option to view all search results on a separate page.

Google Merchant Center
All product were published to Google Merchant Center making them visible within the Google Shopping search option generating additional linking traffic back to the website. Bu incorporating with AdWords they were able to ensure their Shopping Shopping ads appears at the top of search results leading to greater traffic and sales.

SEO and Analytics
Making the site search engine friendly by adding meta details, schema and keywords to pages and products. Connecting with Google Analytics, Search Console and Merchant Centre to help websites process and acquisitions.

Ongoing support and training
Continued support is offered with a website maintenance program to ensure the site is always kept up to date, backed up and secure. Training and advice give for members with admin and editorial access to update and add new pages, products and events.

ONI

Convert website to WordPress

ONI have developed the Nanoimager, the world’s first desktop super-resolution microscope, capable of visualising, tracking and imaging individual molecules in living cells with 20nm resolution.

ONI engaged us to help manage and maintain their existing website. The site had been developed in house by our client using Ginger – an open-source automation framework. To help them maintain the website and make changes and updates, ONI required a web design partner experienced in HTML coding.

Wicko Design looked after all aspects of the website for ONI, running all changes through the source code management tool GitHub, enabling us to collaborate and share updates with our client and test changes before going live.

In the website’s original format, making changes to content required utilising a complex editing system which took time and required a level of technical ability. As ONI grew in size, the volume of updates increased significantly, exposing the limitations of Ginger. It was decided to migrate the web content to a platform that ONI could more easily manage and update internally.

For the final phase of our involvement in this project, Wicko Design converted the ONI website from Ginger to WordPress. We rebuilt ONI’s website on the new platform, replicating the dynamic design, the fresh, clean layout and the stunning, super-high-resolution imagery.
